Jumping up 19 ranks, HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management has reached 19th place in the world's leading "Masters in Management" ranking conducted by Financial Times (FT). HHL's Master Program in Management (M.Sc.) was only listed for the second time ever and has already scored 3rd place in Germany and 19th place internationally, outpacing a large number of well-renowned schools. The ranking certifies the oldest business school in the German-speaking area with a top rank for its M.Sc. program with regard to the salaries obtained by its alumni (4th place internationally). In the assessment of focal points, HHL reached the first place in the field of "Entrepreneurship". HHL reached the top 10 in "General Management", "Finance" and "Marketing".

The FT "Masters in Management" ranking covering 65 business schools is considered one of the world's most extensive and significant high score tables for Master programs focusing on General Management.

The ranking uses data from two surveys. One questions the university alumni who graduated three years ago about their current situation. The other collects data at the schools themselves. Assessment criteria for the ranking are among other things salary and career figures as well as internationality and the structure of the school or program.

AFN-DJ Magnificent Magoo legt nach 25 Jahren wieder in Berlin auf.

Bis 1984 präsentierte Jim McCauley alias Magnificent Magoo beim Berliner Soldatensender AFN Berlin seine legendäre Soulmusik-Show "The Juice on 88 FM". Mit dem Ende seines Dienstes als US Airforce Sergeant verließ er Berlin und hinterließ eine schmerzliche Lücke im Programm von AFN Berlin. Seine stilsichere Mischung von Soul, Funk, Fusion und Jazz war bis dahin einmalig im Radio.

Der Berliner Soul-Jazz Musikverlag hatte ihn all die Jahre nie vergessen. Und so produzierte Soul-Jazz eine von Jim McCauley moderierte CD-Reihe mit Black Music - zusammengestellt aus seinen originalen AFN-Sendungen. Jetzt holt der Verlag die DJ-Legende von AFN zurück nach Berlin, um mit »The Juice« den Sound der 70er und 80er Jahre wieder auferstehen zu lassen. Im Oktober legt Magnificent Magoo im Bohannon Club in Berlin-Mitte auf. Unterstützt wird er bei diesem Live-Event von seinem Berliner AFN-Weggefährten Rick de Lisle.

Für Black Music Fans ist dieser Termin ein Muss: Freitag, den 08. Oktober 2010, Einlass: 20.30 Uhr. The Magnificent Magoo legt im Berliner Soul-Club BOHANNON auf: Dircksenstraße 40, 10178 Berlin.
